Free for all in Southampton this weekend!

As part of the celebrations to welcome nine cruise ships to Southampton this coming weekend all bus services within Southampton City will be free for all on Saturday 29th August and Sunday 30th August from the first bus in the morning until 6pm both days.

Why not take advantage of this great offer to see the unprecedented sight of nine cruise ships in Southampton, explore the citys great maritime heritage at the Maritime Museum, visit the excellent range of shops available in West Quay and throughout the city centre or simply relax in one of the citys many green spaces.

Free travel is available on all journeys wholly within the Southampton City boundary from the start of service to 6pm on each day. Free travel is available on the following routes:

1/1A City " Weston: FREE entire route

3 City " Townhill Park: FREE entire route

4 City " Totton: FREE between city centre and Redbridge

5 City " Lordshill North: FREE entire route

7/7A City " Swaythling " Millbrook (7A): FREE entire route

8 Lordshill " City " Bitterne " Townhill Park: FREE entire route

8A Lordshill " City " Bitterne " Hedge End: FREE between Lordshill, City Centre and Townhill Way, a £1 flat fare will apply for journeys to and from Chartwell Green and West End until 6pm.

9 City " Harefield " Thornhill: FREE entire route

10/10A Lordshill " City " Thornhill: FREE entire route

11A/C City - Sholing: FREE entire route

12A/C City " Sholing: FREE entire route

14 City " Mansbridge " Bitterne: FREE between City and Mansbridge and again from Townhill Way to Bitterne, customers boarding between Mansbridge and Townhill Way can travel for a special £1 flat fare.

16/16A City " Hamble " Hedge End (16A): FREE between City and Tickleford Drive

17/17A Lordshill - City: FREE entire route

21/22 City " Lordshill " Nursling: FREE between City and Lordshill

72 Gosport " Southampton: FREE between Botley Road and Southampton City Centre

78/80 Fareham " Southampton: FREE between Botley Road and Southampton City Centre

Normal fares apply to all other journeys, including cross boundary travel and for journeys starting after 6pm.

If you are a concessionary pass holder please show your pass as normal to the driver.
