Lowestoft

Lowestoft, the Heart of the Sunrise Coast and officially the most easterly town in Great Britain provides a mix of wide expansive award-winning beaches, rich maritime heritage and broadland links, giving Lowestoft an eclectic mix for all ages. The sloping beaches provide an ideal place to relax and for children to play in the sand. On Lowestoft's Royal Plan are the Royal Plain Fountains that consist of 74 individual interactive water jets with variable lighting.

The South Pier and Claremont Pier both offer traditional seaside amusements and cafés, whilst London Road North provides shoppers with a chance of some retail therapy. The historic High Street and Triangle Market Place are renowned for being haunted; join a guided tour if you dare.

East Anglia Transport Museum

East Anglia Transport Museum

The East Anglia Transport Museum is a living museum where vehicles of yesteryear can be seen in action, where half-forgotten sounds of the past are brought back to life and where visitors can journey back in time by travelling on a few of the exhibits along the Museum's streets. Many old vehicles seem ill at ease in a rural environment, so their aim is to develop a street scene of houses and shops, complete with authentic street furniture of bygone days, rescued from many parts of the country.
