Original reason for Nomination
Francis was nominated for his acts to ensure the safety of the travelling public.
Francis was crowned a hero as he took control of the situation when the rear of his bus caught fire.
Francis kept calm, and fortunately had time to call Code Red, the Police and the Garage with information. He successfully evacuated the bus of all 50 passengers, which resulted in a zero injury rate. Mat Williams, who nominated him, stated that this was 'a miracle considering the state of the bus and extent of fire'.
