Council welcomes extra Llandarcy Village buses.

Following an approach from Neath Port Talbot Council, First Cymru have agreed to operate two extra 156 (Swansea to Tonna Hospital) journeys into the village from Monday 23rd February.

First's Managing Director Tony McNiff said that he was happy to accommodate the request which had been made by local member Cllr. Harry Bebell at the operator/member seminar held in Port Talbot on 4th November.

The council's Head of Engineering & Transport, John Flower, said a number of concessionary bus pass holders live in the village and this welcome move by First will enable them to travel direct to and from Swansea three times a day on Mondays to Saturdays for shopping. He appealed to car owners in the area to park responsibly and not to obstruct the turning circle at the top of the Greenways.

Llandarcy Village is also served on Mondays to Fridays by two-hourly route 155 to and from Neath (Fairyland Estate).
