Extra ftrmetro stops for Chemical Road residents.

Following approaches from residents of Chemical Road in Morriston, First has taken the decision that ftrmetro route service 4 will make an additional stop near the point known locally as 'Pompa's'.

First Cymru's Managing Director, Tony McNiff said that the decision was a direct consequence of local requests.

"The new ftrMetro service has been well received, with a high demand in the Chemical Road area, however a number of customers - particularly senior citizens - have asked us to reinstate the stop near 'Pompa's'. We are therefore delighted to announce that service 4 will observe that stop with immediate effect to ensure all those who want to use the service are able to do so."

Mr. McNiff added that since the ftrmetro vehicles began running on 1st June, public reaction had been very positive. He said: "We are now planning to add a second ftr vehicle to the route during the next week, with a view to having the whole fleet (nine vehicles) operational by late summer."
