Travel for free in Swansea City Centre!

IN a move designed to help local people while the Quadrant bus station is closed for redevelopment, First Cymru has unveiled a new offer for people in the city.
While the former bus station is closed it will allow people who have travelled into the city by bus, to hop on and off services 25, 110, 111 and 112, and the ftrMetro service 4, for free. This will allow people to connect more easily with other services that are temporarily being operated from other stops in the city, without having to walk between them.
Services 25, 110, 111 and 112 each call at the Rail Station, Kingsway, West Way, Wellington Street and Caer Street, from which connections to all other services can be made. Similarly, the ftrMetro stops at High Street Station, Kingsway, Westway and the Civic Centre.
Tony McNiff, Managing Director, First Cymru, explains: "While the Quadrant bus station is closed customers are using a series of temporary bus stops in the city. We recognise that having to walk between stops can be inconvenient for some people, particularly those who have heavy shopping bags to carry, so we've unveiled this offer to help them. This unprecedented move means that people will be able to access key points in the city for no extra charge, provided they have a bus ticket dated for the same day that they wish to travel."
Those people who haven't travelled into the city by bus, but who want to travel just a short distance, for example between the railway station and West Way ftrMetro station, will be able to do so for just 50 pence a journey.
All buses operating on Services 4, 25, 110, 111 and 112 are low, floor easy access vehicles.
