FirstCard is a must for all Bradford bus users. It is a convenient and flexible way to pay for bus travel and means you only ever need to carry one card - and no cash - whatever your journey.
The idea of FirstCard is to load it up with pre-paid credit, so that when it comes to using the bus, no cash is needed for the journey.
The card contains a micro-chip which stores unique information relating to you, the card owner and keeps track of any transactions. When you place your FirstCard on the ticket machine, it checks that the card is valid and you can then purchase your ticket.

What's so good about FirstCard?
Cashless Bus Travel means that payment on the bus is swift and convenient which means faster journey times. No more rummaging for cash. You can leave your FirstCard in your wallet or purse and the ticket machine reads the card. This is ideal for school children and the elderly who may prefer not to carry cash when out and about.
Discounted bus travel is available when purchasing an Annual, Monthly or Daily pass.
The flexibilty of FirstCard means it can be passed between friends and family to take advantage of the value on the card.
Replacement of lost and stolen cards is straight-forward. After you report its loss to us, we will arrange a replacement card with any outstanding value to be sent to the registered card holder after three full working days.
FirstCard rewards all card holders with BusMiles* which can be accumulated on the card to get a reduction on a future bus journey. For every £1 spent, 1 bus mile is earned and 100 bus miles can be converted to £1 of stored value.
*BusMiles can only be transferred onto the card at POS machines, Bradford Interchange Travel Shop or Bowling Back Lane Bus Depot. It is not possible to do this on the bus.
