Bradford

Many of our services are operated by low floor buses allowing wheelchair accessible travel with First across Bradford. When your low floor bus arrives at the bus stop you can ask the driver to lower the step and/or ramp to allow you to board. You should reverse your wheelchair into the dedicated area on board (so you are facing the back of the vehicle) and apply the brakes.
Please ask the driver for assistance if you require any help.
As part of our commitment to providing accessible travel for wheelchair users First always try to give priority to wheelchair users on our services. If the bus is full or there is already a wheelchair user on board unfortunately we will not be able to carry another wheelchair user. Non low floor, ‘step height’ buses are not able to accommodate wheelchair users – please see below for a list of our accessible services.

Many services that aren’t low floor during the day are operated by low floor vehicles in the evening and all Sunday journeys are operated by low floor vehicles. Why not contact us to find out whether the trip you wish to make is scheduled to be operated by a low floor bus.
Whilst we endeavour to provide a low floor vehicle on all journeys scheduled to be accessible, it is occasionally necessary to substitute an alternative, non low floor vehicle for operational reasons.
