What do I need? (Title)

What are we looking for?

  • You need to have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years, with no more than 6 current penalty points - if you already hold a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) license then you can pass more quickly through our training scheme.
  • You need to be physically fit.
  • You need to have a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • You need to be confident working with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of handling cash and working in a customer service environment would be useful.

The Selection Process


You can apply online or call 01422 422100 for an application form. If your application is successful you will be invited to the next stage of the selection process.

This will involve visiting our depot in Halifax and taking part in the following:

  • A short assesment paper with questions on simple maths, hazard perception and the highway code.
  • A short driving assesment with one of our our friendly recruitment team.
  • An interview with one of our recruitment team.
  • A medical, conducted by the Company Doctor to check you are fit to meet PCV standards - this includes drugs screening.

If you are successful at this stage, we will discuss a date for you to start your training and an application will be made on your behalf for a Provisional PCV License with the DVLA. Once you receive your license you can join our Driver Training Programme.

Please be aware that we carry out an enhanced CRB check on all new employees.
