Staff at First Warm hands and hearts

First staff spread a little Valentines spirit (and keep their customers hands warm)
First, the local bus operator in Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield helped spread a little Valentines spirit and raised £260 for the ‘Take Heart Appeal. Staff hung up their uniforms on 13th February to hand out special heart shaped hand warmers and collect donations for Take Heart. Staff visited Halifax Bus Station, Huddersfield Bus Station and Bradford Interchange, along with bus services.
A poll commissioned by First to find out who passengers would most like to sit on the back of a bus with on Valentines day put George Clooney and Cheryl Cole on top nationally, but in Yorkshire the ladies disagreed, preferring David Tennant.
Jonathan Stewart, Service Delivery Director for First said, ‘First really cares about our customers and this is a fun way to show it, as well as to keep our customers hands warm on these cold mornings, and raise money for a worthy cause. Take Heart raises money for providing care and comfort to patients at the Yorkshire Heart Clinic in Leeds General Infirmary and St. James Hospital.
Any passengers who missed the chance to make a donation to Take Heart can visit www.takeheart.net
