Oh Yea Oh Yea - Otley Has New First Buses with Leather Seats!

THE Otley Town Crier had a special duty to perform today as he officially announced the arrival of new First buses to be used in Otley.

The towns most famous vocalist was one of the guests of honour as First unveiled the initial delivery of buses in its new £5millon fleet to operate on the X84 Leeds, Otley, Ilkley, Skipton route.

Greg Mulholland MP, senior Metro representatives and town councillors were also due to be present as Firsts West and North Yorkshire MD Dave Alexander proudly launched the eight new double-decker buses which boast comfortable leather seats " a first for First buses in West Yorkshire. Four single-decker buses will follow in the next few weeks.

The vehicles, boast the latest Euro IV engines " designed to reduce both emissions and pollution. Each vehicle has air conditioning and double glazed windows to maintain a comfortable temperature for customers, regardless of the weather to improve the overall journey experience.

These buses are user friendly with low floor access for all passengers " in particular making it easier for parents with pushchairs, wheelchair users and those who are less mobile to get on and off the bus.

All of the buses are fitted with both interior and exterior facing CCTV " all helping to provide additional security and protection for passengers.
