We operate a high frequency urban network complemented by some lower frequency routes. Whilst most services operate within the City of York there are also routes out to Stamford Bridge and Holme-upon-Spalding Moor in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

25% of our network is taken up by the operation of five award winning Park & Ride services which keep over a million cars out of the city centre and enable 3 million passengers a year enjoy the many attractions York has to offer both resident and visitor alike. The average age of our fleet is under 5 years, and comprises 108 low-floor easy access vehicles, including 9 Volvo B7BLA articulated buses used exclusively on our Park & Ride routes, and 12 futuristic Volvo StreetCars used on our ftr service between the University and Acomb.

Largely in recognition of our strong partnership with City of York Council, First York won the coveted National Transport Awards `Bus Operator of the Year' in 2005, and continues to work very closely with the local authority, as public transport continues to be a key element of the City of York Council's traffic management strategy.

In common with all FirstGroup bus operating companies we offer a range of daily, weekly and monthly tickets which offer significant discounts to regular travellers.
