April 1994 Yorkshire Rider Group bought out by Badgerline of Western Super Mare, including York, but still retains the same livery (Badgerline to be included later)
December 1994 Fulford Road tram depot pulled down for re-development
June 1995 Badgerline and GRT Bus in Scotland merged to form a new company called FirstBus 
June 1995 Park and Ride contract awarded to Rider York
July 9 1995 Barbican Road garage closed after 68 years 
July 10 1995 Move to James Street depot which can accommodate 120 buses
January 1998 FirstBus renamed FirstGroup

16 April 2000 First York buys out York Pullman service routes and takes over Bootham Tower 
October 2002 Bootham Tower closed, enquiry staff brought to James Street
11 December 2006 New offices and rest area taken at 45 Tanner Row, with a view to turning James Street depot into entirely bus parking
