Service changes announced for First Bus routes from 6 January 2019
Bus operator First West of England will be making changes to some of its services in Bristol and Bath from Sunday 6th January.
The services most affected in Bristol are 2A, 36, 50/50A, 73/X73, 90 and U3. Minor changes will also be made to services 75, 76, m3/m3x, T1, U2, Y2.
New Bristol services running from the 6th January 2019 include m1 metrobus (Hengrove Park – Cribbs Causeway), T3 (Bristol – Aztec West) and new additions to the South Bristol network: 91 (City Centre – Hengrove Depot), 92 (City Centre – Rookery Farm / Hengrove Depot) and 96 (Hengrove Depot - Brislington). Route changes are also planned for the X3A (Bristol – Portishead) during early morning and evening timetables. Details of the X3A route changes can be found here.
Bath University services U1/U1X and U2 will see changes from the 6th January 2019. Services U1/U1X will have alterations to the route and timetable, whilst the U2 service will see a number of changes to the route only. The changes follow consultation with the University of Bath, BaNES and members of the public locally. More information on the Bath University service changes can be found here.
From January a new R2 service (Ralph Allen School) will be running on schooldays to provide a dedicated service from Southdown/Whiteway to Ralph Allen School. The service will run two journeys, one departing Southdown at 0733 to arrive at Ralph Allen School at 0825; and one afternoon journey departing Ralph Allen School at 1525.
