University of Bath Services Latest (3rd Oct)
We'd like to thank all our customers for your patience over the last couple of days as we have been taking steps to address the problems with our Bath Uni Bus services and minimise the disruption that is being caused.
It is clear that we need extra vehicles but at this time of year it is extremely difficult to find any. However, we have already obtained some additional vehicles and drivers for both the U1 and U2 routes, and we are making arrangements to bring up to 10 extra vehicles into operation over the coming days. These will be very obvious as they will be clearly marked as Bath Uni Bus reliefs. In addition to the extra vehicles, we are also redeploying staff to provide additional on-street supervision to ensure services are operating as efficiently as possible and adjustments can be made quickly as circumstances change.
As a result of the steps taken so far, service levels on Tuesday were generally better than Monday, and today has seen a further improvement. We appreciate that there are still significant issues, and we would like to apologise again for the inconvenience being caused and assure our customers that we will continue to take all necessary steps to deliver the level of service required.
