Service 5 – Bus Station - Whiteway
Due to the increasingly popularity of Service 5 the Mon – Fri will increase to every 10 minutes (particularly useful for those students travelling between Twerton Mill & City Centre)
Following numerous customer extra late evening journeys will run at 2330 and 2400 (Monday – Saturday)
On Sundays the frequency (daytime) will increase to every 20 minutes using bigger buses which will provide significantly higher capacity.
All journeys will now operate via Haycombe Drive (including evenings and weekends).
The timetable of Service 5 will be altered to address the current issues of punctuality and reliability.
Service 10 – Bath Bus Station – Southdown
Service 10 will receive bigger buses to ease crowding on the increasingly popular service.
Following customer requests an extra journey will be provided at 2340 Mon-Sat, 35 minutes later than the current last journey.
On Sundays and Public Holidays the frequency will increase to every 20 minutes (daytime).
The timetable of Service 10 will be altered to address the current issues of punctuality and reliability.
Service 10 – Corsham Town Service
First West of England will no longer operator Service 10 (Corsham Town Service). Wiltshire Council is currently looking for an alternative operator for this service.
Service 13 – Foxhill – Bathford
Due to the increasing popularity of Service 13, the Mon – Fri daytime frequency will increase to every 12 minutes, the second frequency increase in a year. ~
There will be a number of additional evening journeys on Service 13 increasing the evening frequency to every 30 minutes Mon – Sat.
The timetable of Service 13 will be altered to address the current issues of punctuality and reliability.
Service 15 – Bath Spa University – City Centre
As the academic year draws to a close the frequency of Service 15 will reduce to every 15 minutes, Mon – Fri daytime.
During the University Holidays First West of England will introduce a number of additional journeys at the weekends, catering for those guests staying at Bath Spa University accommodation during this time. At the weekends (and Public Holidays) a new evening service will be introduced.
Service 16 – Bath Spa University Circular
Following requests from Bath Spa University an additional, earlier first journey will operate from Twerton Mill to Bath Spa University, departing at 0803 (term time only)
*NEW SERVICE NUMBER* Service 19 – Bath – Cribbs Causeway (current 319)
Service 319 will change number to Service 19, integrating it with other services in the North Bristol Network (17/17A & 18)
As part of a recent consultation First West of England undertook in East Bristol, a large number of customers requested evening and Sunday journeys. As a result evening and Sunday journeys will be added to the service.
Attention has also been paid to retail opening hours at Cribbs Causeways and departure times have been scheduled to match (where possible).
The new evening journeys will also provide an alternative for customers currently using evening journeys on Services 18 & 37.
The timetable of Service 19 will be altered to address the current issues of poor punctuality and reliability.
Service 37 – Bath – Bristol via Bitton
Following the removal of funding from some Service 37 journeys, First West of England will withdraw Monday – Saturday evening journeys and all Sunday journeys on Service 37.
Customers can change at Cadbury Heath, Newton Road to interchange between Services 19 & 44/45, providing access to all stops on Service 37.
Service 231 – Bath – Chippenham
Service 231 will be withdrawn from 24 April 2016. Currently four buses an hour (provided by two operators) as well as fast train service operates on the corridor, as a result First West of England do not meet the cost of the operation.
First West of England weekly, monthly and annual tickets will be able to be used on Faresaver Service X31 for a limited time following Service 231 being withdrawn.
First West of England will continue to operate journeys on evenings and Sundays (using Service number X31)
Service 265 – Bath – Salisbury via Warminster
The timetable of Service 265 will be altered to address the current issues of poor punctuality and reliability.
Following a number of requests from local residents, off-peak journeys (Mon – Fri) will operate via North Bradley instead of White Horse Business Park. This re-routing provides an hourly service for North Bradley residents to Trowbridge, Bath & Salisbury.
Service 267 – Bath – Frome
The timetable of Service 267 will be significantly altered to address current issues of punctuality and reliability and to provide spacing between Service 267 and Faresaver Service X67.
The majority of departure times from Bath and Frome will change. The majority of off peak journeys will depart Bath at 20 minutes past each hour, and Frome at 26 minutes past each hour.
The 2010 departure from Bath will be withdrawn.
Service 271/272 – Bath – Bowerhill/Devizes/Urchfront
The timetable of Services 271/272 will be altered to address the current issues of punctuality and reliability.
Departure times from Bath and Bowerhill will change to provide better spacing between Services 271/272 and a similar service (X72) run by Faresaver.
An additional evening journey between Bath & Melksham will depart at 2130 Mon – Sat.
