Inter ticket availability Service 88
Colchester to Halstead – Quality Bus Partnership and Ticket Inter-availability
First Essex have entered into a Quality Bus Partnership with Hedingham Buses and Essex County Council.
Tickets issued on services operating the Colchester to Halstead route corridor are now inter-available between bus operators.
All First Essex return tickets and day, week, 4-week / monthly, quarterly, annual and scholar passes (Colchester Inner / All Essex / Service 88) are accepted on the service 88 journeys operated by Hedingham and also on the Sunday service 88 operated by Regal, plus Essex County Council supported services 82/82A/82B/83/83A/83B.
All Hedingham return, day, weekly and monthly tickets, plus any scholars’ passes which have been issued for use on their service 88 are valid for travel on First services 88 and 88A, including the evening tendered journeys.
Similarly, any return, day, weekly and monthly tickets issued on Essex County Council supported services 82/82A/82B/83/83A/83B (operated by Hedingham) are valid for use on journeys between common points (for example, Earls Colne to Colchester).
The Colchester Boroughcard Inner and Outer zone tickets and Colchester Plus Bus tickets continue to be valid for use within the appropriate zones on all journeys, as now.
Please note that the validity of the First Essex Colchester Inner zone has been extended to Wood Corner.
