First Glasgow Drivers get shirty to back Warriors ahead of crunch Semi Final
Drivers from First Glasgow’s Scotstoun depot are getting shirty this week as they wear Glasgow Warriors tops in service to show their support of the Warriors ahead of their crunch Guinness PRO14 Semi-Final showdown with Scarlets this Friday (18th May 2018).
10,000 supporters are expected at Scotstoun to cheer on Dave Rennie’s squad as they look to secure their place in the Final in Dublin a week on Saturday.
A handful of Scotstoun drivers will proudly show their backing for the Warrior Nation as they sport the home tops while servicing customers in the build-up to match day.
Scotstoun driver Tam Clark said: “Everyone at the depot is right behind the Warriors ahead of their big game on Friday night and fingers crossed they can do the business. We are delighted to wear the shirts on our bus routes this week to show our support. Hopefully, the fans turn out in force to give them the proper backing and what better way to travel to the game than a free ticket on our buses.”
As part of the ongoing partnership with the Warriors, First Glasgow is also providing free match day travel to both season ticket members and match day ticket purchasers to travel to the game.
Warriors fans can now enjoy a hassle-free journey to the game with free travel to and from Scotstoun Stadium, with bus tickets available on the First Glasgow mTickets app.
Travelling to the Warriors’ Scotstoun Stadium couldn’t be easier, with a range of First Glasgow services available to fans.
First Glasgow Commercial Director, Graeme Macfarlan, said: “It’s great to be working in partnership with Scotland’s most successful rugby club to deliver a great match-day deal for fans. Our drivers wearing the shirts in service is a small gesture of support from everyone at First Glasgow ahead of the big game on Friday and we wish them all the very best.
“By teaming up to provide free travel for supporters, we are making it easier and more appealing for fans to travel to and from Scotstoun Stadium. With more fans travelling by bus, we can also reduce congestion and journey times on match days.”
Glasgow Warriors Managing Director, Nathan Bombrys said: “It’s great that the First Glasgow bus drivers are showing their support of the team ahead of our big Semi-Final on Friday night.
“Supporters coming to the game at Scotstoun will once again be able to take advantage of free bus travel to and from the big match – as they have done all season.
“We’d encourage all our supporters coming to the game on Friday to leave their cars at home and travel by bus.”
