Changes to Service 9/9A
First Glasgow and McGill’s have announced a team up that will see both operators accept each other’s tickets to make life easier for key workers on the Glasgow to Paisley corridor.
Customers using First Glasgow’s Service 9/9A and the McGill’s service 38 for essential travel journeys between Paisley and Glasgow can now use any operator ticket across both of these services to allow them more travel options for getting to and from work as the Covid-19 crisis continues to have an impact on public transport options in the area.
This agreement will come into effect from Sunday 12th April and operate until further notice.
- McGill’s will operate a 30-minute daytime/60 minute evening service between Johnstone & Paisley on their City 38.
- McGill’s will also operate a 60 minute daytime/60 minute evening service between Paisley and Berryknowes Rd on their service 17.
- First will operate a 30-minute daytime/60 minute evening service between Braehead & Penilee on their City service 9A .
Please note that First Glasgow are unable to accept McGill's Smartcard Products. McGill's are unable to accept First Bus Tokens. All other ticket types (mTicket, Paper, Paypoint) which must have a valid date of expiry.
