Extra bus services added for Todmorden Agricultural Show
First Halifax is working in partnership with the Todmorden Agricultural Show to run regular bus services for attendees of the annual show.
The Todmorden Agricultural Show is being held at Cliviger Show Field on Saturday 16th June and is expected to attract 19,000 visitors throughout the day. First Halifax is working with organisers to ensure there are appropriate transport links in place to help minimise road congestion in the local area, as car parking is very limited.
The 591 service will run in conjunction with the 589 and 592 service to run regular 15 minute services between Burnley, the show ground and Todmorden. Show day return tickets (adults £2.00 / children £1.00), or the ‘5 people can travel for £5’ ticket, are available on all 589, 591 and 592 services from 08:00 to 19.23. Concession pass holders will travel free of charge.
Ken White, Todmorden Depot Supervisor at First Halifax, said: “This is a fantastic event for the local area and we’re proud to be supporting this popular show for a second year running. We’ll be running bus services every 15 minutes, so show goers don’t need to worry about the hassle of parking and can travel fuss-free via bus, directly to the show.”
