Frequent, great value bus travel for students
We offer a network of frequent bus services in the University area and across the city - and with discounted prices for students. During the day buses run past the university up to every 3 minutes and all of our services go into the city centre for shopping and easy access to the City Bus Station and Rail Station for trips home.
We'll help you make the most of your time at University, with frequent services throughout the main student areas - and service 1 runs until 3am Monday-Saturday. Late night services
Service 1 operates until 3am (approx.) Monday-Saturday between the City Centre (Bishopgate Street) and Ring Road (Headingley). All First passes are valid, including FirstDay tickets which are valid until the end of service on the day of purchase. MetroCard & Concessionary passes aren't valid after midnight.
Leeds University Campus
With buses running up to every 3 minutes, our services are the ideal way to get to University! Services 1, 6, 28 & 97 all run directly past the Parkinson Building, and service 56 stops on Clarendon Road (close to the business school).
LeedsCityBus runs every 10 minutes around the City Centre, serving the University, Rail Station, Bus Station and main shopping areas and is only 50p for each single journey - and holders of unlimited travel tickets can use the service for free.
Service 28 calls on Weetwood Lane, just outside Oxley Hall and runs straight past the University & into the City Centre to the City Bus Station every 20 minutes Monday-Saturday daytime and half-hourly on Sundays and in the evening.
Staying out later? Service 1 stops on Otley Road - a short walk from Oxley Hall and operates until 3am Monday-Saturday nights.
For grocery shopping, hop on services 1 or 6 towards Holt Park and they'll take you to Asda (service 6 is quicker) or service 28 calls past Headingley Arndale Centre which is home to Sainsbury's Local and Wilkinsons.
Service 28 starts on Clarence Road and operates to the City Bus Station, the University Campus, Headingley and past Oxley Hall for University of Leeds sports facilities. It runs every 20 minutes Monday-Saturday daytime, with some later evening journeys from the City Bus Station to the Hall.
You're spoilt for choice for First services in Headingley, with services 1, 6, 28 & 97 running up to every 3 minutes to the University and City Centre. Plus travel between Headingley Arndale Centre and the University is a tiny £1!
Staying out later? Service 1 also operates until 3am Monday-Saturday nights.
Carnegie Stadium area
Service 56 runs up every 8 minutes during the day on Queenswood Drive, Cardigan Road and the surrounding area and runs past the University on Clarendon Road and Woodhouse Lane to the City Centre.
Leeds Beckett University
LeedsCityBus runs every 10 minutes around the City Centre, serving the Civic Campus, Rail Station, Bus Station and main shopping areas - and holders of unlimited travel tickets can use the service for free.
For the Headingley Campus, services 1, 6, 28 & 97 run up to every 3 minutes from the City Centre through Headingley and stop close to the Headingley Campus.
Leeds Trinity University College
Service 97 runs every 20 minutes during the day from the City Centre & Headingley to Leeds Trinity University College.
