Changes to Great Yarmouth area services - from 22nd September 2019
We're making some changes to the timetables of our Great Yarmouth area services, and our Coastal Clipper 1|1A service from Sunday 22nd September.
These changes are based on feedback from passengers, local stakeholders and our local driving team as well as extensive analysis of passenger journeys and punctuality of our services.
Our new ticket machines, introduced in May 2018, allow us to collect more detailed data on where and when people travel than has ever been possible in the past and we have carried out a detailed analysis of all of this information when designing these changes; many of which are intended to bring simpler, quicker and more direct journeys for the majority of passengers as well as ensuring the long-term sustainability of our network that is operated almost entirely without any sort of local authority subsidy.
A summary of the changes can be found below along with a map of the new services.
Under normal circumstances, we would release new PDF timetables for the services around 4 weeks before these begin. However, due to the major roadworks on Southtown Road starting at the end of September, and the need to plan and implement temporary timetables to accommodate these, on this occasion we will not be able to release either digital or printed timetables until the start of September.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause which is due entirely to circumstances beyond our control, and please be assured that timetables will be made available on this page as soon as is practically possible, so please check back for updates and follow us on Twitter at @FirstYar_Low.
