ANY BUS, ANY TIME, ANYWHERE’ WITH THE NEW MULTI-OPERATOR BUS TICKET IN STAFFORDSHIRE
Local bus operators in Staffordshire including First Potteries, D&G, Arriva, Midland Classic, and National Express West Midlands with support from Staffordshire County Council have all signed up to a new multi-operator bus ticket scheme, giving people the flexibility to use any bus, any time anywhere across the county of Staffordshire.
The new ‘KNOT’ bus ticket is being launched on Monday 15th April and is expected to be very well received by people who want to travel to multiple locations on the same day using different bus operators.
For only £7 the day ticket provides unlimited travel on all bus services running in Staffordshire. The ticket can be purchased on the bus from the driver using either cash or the contactless function which makes it easy and accessible to buy.
Dan Flanagan, Operations Manager at First Potteries said;”
We are pleased to be part of the new scheme that will provide seamless travel to people who want to travel across Staffordshire using the new ticket.
“The Knot ticket is a new ticket that sits alongside the ‘Stoke Smart multi operator ticket’ for journeys being made within the Potteries area and our range of commercial tickets that facilitate bus travel across the First Potteries bus network”
Nick Vane, Commercial Director of National Express West Midlands, said:
"National Express West Midlands is delighted to join the new Staffordshire Knot scheme and offer this great value ticket to customers using buses right across the county.
"Having extended our 10A service into Chasetown, Burntwood and Lichfield last summer, and with our X3 and X51 services providing more frequent journeys in Lichfield and Cannock from the end of this month, we hope that customers will take advantage of our new services by using this new ticket.
“The Knot ticket is also valid on our 54 and 54A services between Stafford and the i54 business park, connecting customers with this major site of employment and growth.”
