Livingston to Edinburgh Airport Bus Service
First West Lothian launch revamped Edinburgh Airport link
West Lothian operator First Bus have unveiled a new fast, frequent and direct service to Edinburgh International Airport.
The newly launched 600 service connects West Lothian residents with hundreds of international locations, linking areas such as Livingston Centre, Uphall, Broxburn, Winchburgh, Kirkliston and Ratho Station on an hourly basis.
The route offers an alternative to airport parking and allows travellers to book tickets in advance using the mTickets App, with an added opportunity to save on fares.
Andrew Jarvis, Managing Director for First West Lothian said:
“We are delighted to unveil these premium vehicles for the newly launched 600 service, which now provides many people in West Lothian with a direct link to Edinburgh Airport. This hourly service provides a real alternative and I would urge people to sit back, relax and let us take them to the airport without the hassle.”
The service allows passengers to travel in comfort, with Free WIFI, USB charging points and luggage racks.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said:
“As Scotland’s busiest airport we’re a gateway to the country and we’re well aware of the importance of opening up regions across the central belt and beyond, and bus services like this make West Lothian a short journey for both business and leisure passengers as well as staff.
“We’ve greatly expanded public transport options to make getting to and from the airport as easy and accessible as possible and we’ll continue to work with providers like FirstGroup to make more improvements where we can to improve the all-round experience for our passengers.
The new 600 Service operates early until late, 7 days a week.
