University of Stirling
First Bus proudly serve University of Stirling from our Bannockburn Depot. We work closely with the University to help staff and students get from A to B.
New to the area or just new to travelling by bus? Keep on scrolling and check out our Unilink Map below which shows the services you can catch to travel to University of Stirling: Unilink, Service 51/52, X53 and 54.
We’ve been working hard to ensure our buses are ready those who need to make essential journeys. From new on-board seating arrangements to help maintain social distancing, to upgrading our tech so you can now track in real time how many seats are available on each of our buses.
Which Ticket do I need?
We know that your schedule can change, and that sometimes figuring out which ticket offers you the best value for money when you're trying to budget can be hard.
Single Ticket - We get it, you don’t quite know your plans today and you don’t want to commit to anything too serious. You can pay for a single journey using our unilink services when you're heading into uni for lectures, meeting friends or even heading home.
First Day Ticket - This ticket can be used for all day travel, which is great if you need to travel multiple times throughout the day. Once activated, this must be used within the day of purchase.
Carnet – Our option for flexible travel. Our carnet includes 10 single tickets, which means you can store the journeys in your mticket wallet ready to use when you want them. Activate your ticket just before you board the bus, and keep the rest stored on your phone until you need them.
FirstWeek – You’ve got a big week coming up, whether it’s back and forth to the library, exams all week or just darting about keeping busy. You can buy a weekly ticket which means you can use it all week on unilink services.
First4Week – We’re practically Facebook official.. A First4Week ticket means you’ve got 4 weeks of travel in one place. Maybe it’s easier to budget, maybe you know you’ve got a busy month and you’ll end up buying loads of weekly tickets anyway and you fancy saving a few pounds – we’re happy to have you on board.
I’m on placement – Just because placement is a taste of work once you’re qualified, doesn’t mean it should be a taste of full price fares. Check out our mTicket section for ‘students’ which means you can buy a normal student ticket to use on any other services. This isn’t a Stirling University specific ticket, so you can use it on other services using your student ID when you board.
How much does it cost?
Below we've listed the prices for tickets when you buy them on the bus, and when you buy on the First Bus App. We froze our fares from last year on the app so that you can access the cheapest tickets when you download it.
It means you store tickets on your phone to scan when you get on the bus and you can activate them when you need them.
