Due to the closure of Henwick Road, Service 31A will be diverting as follows;
Normal route to Henwick Post Office, bus stop, then buses will continue straight down Hylton Road into the City Centre.
Please note that bus stops between Oldbury Road and Bull Ring will not be served including the temporary stop on Tybridge Street.
From Monday 7th September, the university campus will reopen, providing access to the 31A service.
Buses will operate normal route to Monarch Drive and then on to the university and then serve the university, exiting at University Gates, turn left on to Oldbury Rd and resume the current route inbound via Hylton Road.
Worcester City Council are providing a shuttle bus to transport passengers to St Johns until the re-opening of Henwick Road, details below:
Worcestershire County Council will be running a free shuttle bus between 0915 and 1700 for those passengers wishing to travel to and from St Johns (Bull Ring).
This will connect with the 31A service at University Students Union (at approximately 15 and 45 minutes past the hour ) and serve Laugherne Road, Comer Road and St Johns.
The return shuttle journey will pick up at the temporary bus stop on Tybridge Street or Comer Road adjacent Nelson Road and terminate at Oldbury Road (opposite University Gates) where passengers will be able to catch 31A back to Comer Gardens, Monarch Drive and Hallow Road.
31A Update from 21 September
Henwick Road will reopen from Monday 21 September (City bound only) Service 31A will now operate diversion to Oldbury Road then resume normal route to the city via Henwick Road.
The stop at St Johns, Bull Ring is still suspended so a temporary stop will remain in place at Tybridge Street
