Lendal Arch Gyratory and your buses
The works are (almost) over and we’ve put the buses back to their regular routes from Monday 19 March! But of course, there are still some roadworks – this is York city centre after all.
Here’s where we are with the buses:
- Bus 66 to the University of York is running a holiday timetable but it is back on its normal route – serving the station on both sides, from Sunday 18 March!
Remember, buses towards the University leave from the usual stop on the station side of the road (stop RD)
- Park & Ride bus 59 is back to normal route from Monday 19 March. Once again you can depart at the York train station when you’re travelling from the Poppleton Park & Ride site. Hurrah!
- Buses 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12/14, and 66 can’t currently stop on Rougier Street stop SA-SC, this is while the stop is improved and a shelter is built! If you don’t know York these are the stops if you’re going towards the train station (on the opposite side of the road to Salt & Pepper). Plan your journey with our detailed maps explaining where is best to board and depart the bus.
We’ll keep you updated with any changes on our Twitter page @FirstYork and we’ll work with the City of York council to add scrolling messages on the stop screens too!
