Park & Ride services added for Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show
First York is working in partnership with the Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show (YAMS) for a second year to offer a free park & ride service for attendees of the annual show.
The “YAMS” is being held at the York Auction Centre on Wednesday 7th February and is expected to attract 8,000 visitors throughout the day. First York is working with organisers to ensure there are appropriate transport links in place to help minimise road congestion in the local area.
The free bus service will depart from Grimston Bar Park & Ride and will travel directly to and from the York Auction Centre. The first bus will depart at 8:30am and will continue to run every 15 minutes, until 17:00pm, when the show closes.
Rachel Benn, Head of Operations at First York, said: “This is a fantastic event for York and we’re proud to be supporting this popular show for a second year. We’ll be running free bus services every 15 minutes, so show goers don’t need to worry about the hassle of parking and can travel fuss-free via bus, directly to the show.”
