Changes to Child Fares - January 2020
From 5th January 2020, our child fares will be changing across York.
We traditionally review child fares at this time of year, and we are pleased to announce that the £2 Child Day ticket will remain unchanged for the third year in a row!
Our tickets can be bought on bus from the driver using cash or contactless, or purchased in advance using our First Bus App. Internal research shows it is 4 x faster to board the bus if the ticket is pre-purchased via the App and therefore we encourage as many people as possible to do so to help with the punctuality of the service.
Parents can also purchase tickets for their children on the First Bus App, and then send these to their children's phones to use. For more information on ticket gifting, please click here.

Don't forget that a YOzone card is required to access our great value child fares! The YOzone cards are issued for free by the council as proof of age to any child/young person aged 11-18 who lives or studies within the York council area. To apply for a YOzone card, please click here.
