From the early hours of Monday 26th February, First Bus’ Airlink X20 service from Colchester to Stansted Airport via Coggeshall, Braintree and Great Dunmow, will run overnight, seven days a week.

The new services will leave Colchester for Stansted at 23.25 (starting on the 25th February) and 01.25, and Stansted to Colchester at 00.45 and 02.45.

The early morning 01.25 from Colchester, which gets into Stansted at 02.37, is ideal for customers who wish to use the first flight departures of the day at around 06.00. The new 00.45 from Stansted caters for those arriving into the airport on the numerous late night arrivals.

The distinctive blue buses have plenty of room for legs and luggage, as well as comfortable leather seats. So passengers can leave their cars at home and save on airport parking costs by benefiting from the Government's £2 fare capping scheme, which is applicable to all Airlink services.

For those using the first overnight services on the 26th February, First Bus will be on board handing out free gifts.

Julian Elliott, Head of Network, said: “The X20 service has proven to be a really popular addition to our network, enabling customers to access Stansted cheaply and easily. When you consider the high cost of parking, the £2 fare cap on bus fares offers a significant saving.

“We’re really pleased to be extending the service for the many customers who arrive or depart the airport at night.”
